Social Impact
At Matter, we use our structural engineering expertise to create buildings that are sustainable, resilient, and socially valuable. We prioritise the well-being of our people, clients, and communities, while driving positive change in the construction industry and building a more sustainable future.

Through fair and inclusive workplace policies, strong and ethical supplier partnerships, sustainable operations, and active community engagement, we live our values of curiosity, creativity, care, and integrity. These commitments ensure our structural engineering practice delivers exceptional results while contributing to a more sustainable and equitable built environment.
Social Impact Report - 2024/2025
In 2024–25, Matter delivered 52 new flood-resilient social homes, saved 4500m³ of concrete, and led low-carbon construction pilots. Through apprenticeships, mentoring, and 365+ hours of volunteering and research, we invested in people and communities. As a sustainable structural engineering practice, we champion fair pay, diversity in construction, and innovative design — creating buildings that are resilient, low-carbon, and socially meaningful.
